2×4s are the most ordinary board in any lumberyard. We designed around it to elevate the utilitarian board.
Furniture should be something you can maintain, refresh, and keep using.
If a board wears out, swap it for a new one. The steel stays. Furniture should outlast its parts, not the other way round.

We design and make the steel frames in nine colors. You choose the wood, the length and the finish, so no two benches are quite the same.

We don't cut corners on the parts that matter. Every Tall Order bench begins with precision-cut 10-gauge steel and a professionally applied powder-coated finish. Strong, durable, and designed to look as good as it performs.

Finished with powder coating
Not all steel is created equal. We use substantial 10-gauge steel, approximately ⅛-inch thick, for strength, stability, and long-lasting durability. No flimsy frames or unnecessary materials. Just solid, thoughtfully engineered components built to stand the test of time.
Unlike traditional liquid paint, powder coating uses an electrostatically applied dry powder that's cured with heat to create a tough, protective finish. It costs more, but offers excellent resistance to chips, scratches, corrosion, and everyday wear, helping your bench look better for longer.
